Field of Dreams Memory Care Household June Look Back

What a fantastic month of June we’ve had here at our Memory Care Household at the Field of Dreams!

We kicked off the summer with a wonderful Tea Party, with delicious homemade cookies! In honor of National Donut Day, we celebrated with of course, some delicious decadent donuts. There wasn’t a crumb left! For our Resident birthday party, we celebrated with adorable ice cream cone cupcakes and they were the conversation piece of the event. So cute and oh so yummy! For the beginning of summer, we kicked it off with a Finally Summer Social. With root beer floats on the menu, boy did it hit the spot! We also enjoyed some Wendy’s for our monthly take out this month as well!

We celebrated Father’s Day with a memorable Donuts for Dad social and Father’s Day parade. We want to thank all the families that attended to make this moment so special for our dads. Scenic Drives are always a favorite during this time, as it allows us to get out and enjoy the fresh air and enjoy time together, driving around the neighborhood.

One thing is for sure here, we sure do have lots of talent! What better way to use those talents, than a creative water color painting session, while reminiscing about the good old days. Painting with Jessica was quite interesting as well, as we created our own colorful sunflowers, while trying resistance painting. The image is outlined with puffy paint, and with our own creativity, painted what we thought a sunflower should look like. They came out beautiful!

With monthly favorites such as bingo, lawn darts, garden tending, baking group, crafts, Name 5, Trivia, Stories from a Hat, Bean Bag Twister, Nerf target shooting, balloon volleyball, we sure keep busy!

We are looking forward to the second phase of construction here at Field of Dreams, with the grand opening of our pavilion being complete. With golf cart rides, concerts, and picnics on the agenda for the rest of the summer, we cannot wait to make many more memories!
