The Magnolia Memory Care Households April Look Back

It’s been a fabulous month in our Memory Care Households here at The Magnolia! We’ve enjoyed nothing more than seeing the flowers bloom and the animals frolic from our view on the back porch. The welcome of May and the sunshine it’s brought us so far makes us more eager for spring and all of the wonderful activities it will bring us!

Since we were unable to host our annual Easter Egg Hunt in April this year, we decided to keep the tradition alive and have one for ourselves. We searched high and low, and in between some tricky places too to find ourselves the “lucky” Easter egg with the grand prize inside. Two of our Memory Care folks were the winners, and celebrated as such! We couldn’t go through the month of April without having our Easter Celebration! On Good Friday we had an Easter party and enjoyed a hearty slice of cake garnished with jelly beans and peeps that was made with love by our HHA, Sally. It was definitely a great time had by all.

Not only did we pin the tail on the Easter bunny, create beautiful butterfly art for the windows, and make springtime wreaths for our doors, but we also participated in a few of our old favorites like bowling and playing bingo. We made sure to take the time to celebrate our friend’s with April birthdays, and socialize with one another over a hot cup of tea during our monthly tea party. This month we enjoyed chocolate brownies as our snack!

We have lots to look forward to in May here in our Memory Care Household at The Magnolia! We’re hoping we’ll be able to spend more time outdoors, whether it be on our back porch or in our backyard with the birds. We’re very eager to open our home to our family members and friends once we are able to again. Please remain thinking of us as we spend time thinking of you. We hope to see everyone very soon!
