The Magnolia Memory Care October Look Back

Here at the Memory Care Household at The Magnolia we have had such a wonderful month. October has been filled with fun, laughter, good food, excellent entertainment, and much more.

This month we participated bingo, bucket ball, ladder ball, ring toss, horseshoes, trivia, dice games, balloon volleyball, craft activities, noodle baseball, chess, beanbag toss, and several other activities. This month we were crafty and made trees out of colorful paper. We had so much fun doing this. Now they are hanging up and make beautiful decorations.

Some other activities we did to keep us busy included going to the fitness gym on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s to exercise, evening movie nights, painting our nails, listening to music, and baking in the kitchen. We had some Jamestown Community College

students come to spend some time with us as well. They painted small pumpkins with us and we really showed our crafty side!

We also had several opportunities to watch, listen, and dance to some wonderful entertainment. Our first entertainer of the month was Bumpy and Bart. They were so energetic and fun to listen to. Several of us got up and danced to the music. Our second entertainer was Rick B. His music was amazing to listen to. Rick B. was able to sing with us two times in October which was great! Bill E. came to sing with us and we are looking forward to hearing him again soon.

Several of us went to Jimmy’s Family Restaurant for lunch. The food was so tasty!  We can wait to go again!

October has been a great month for us and we are anxious to see what November will entail! If you have any questions or comments about upcoming activities, please contact Aubrey Briggs in Activities at (716)569-3095 Ext. 6714 or email at [email protected]
