Frewsburg Rest Home November Look Back

It has been a snowy and cold November but the resident’s and staff are embracing the winter season at Frewsburg Rest Home! We started out the month with watching a Disney Aladdin Play which was performed by Frewsburg Elementary School. What a fun performance that was to see! Oh, and you can’t forget about the crafty craft show we had!

Frewsburg Rest Home has some talented entertainers perform this month! We had Michael Dennehy, Bumpy and Bart, and BLT performed this month. Bumpy and Bart put on a great performance and the residents enjoyed having them here.
Even though it has been such a cold month and the snow came earlier than normal, that did not stop the residents from going to the Kinzua Bridge State Park. The residents enjoyed their time at the state park where they watched an informative movie about the bridge. We also went to go visit the Zippo museum which was a very neat experience for everyone. Can’t forget about the Veteran’s lunch we had for our Veterans. We celebrated 8 veterans at Frewsburg Rest Home who served our country. We are thankful for the bravery that these men and women had in order to protect our country. We also traveled to Warren, Pa and ate at the train station which has delicious meals! We had some adventurous outings this month!

We had some fun this month with baking brownies, cupcakes, and making white chocolate covered pretzels! We also started to make some Christmas Tree and snowflake ornaments. Can’t wait to start making those delicious Christmas cookies in December!
Frewsburg Rest Home had a tasty Thanksgiving dinner this year! There was a lot of great compliments on the delicious harvest dinner. We all were so thankful for the cooks and additional staff that helped make it such a wonderful thanksgiving dinner.
Despite winter coming upon us quickly, we had a great month and we cannot wait to see what December has in store for us!
