Frewsburg Rest Home Updates, December ’17

We stayed extra warm and bright here at Frewsburg Rest Home in the month of December. The twinkling lights, the pure white snow, the happy Christmas songs we all know and love all filled our home with happiness and warmth. We all had a hand in decorating for Christmas this year, which gave our residents a sense of pride and independence, as well as bring back memories from long ago.

Frewsburg Rest Home UpdatesDecember brings no shortage of wonderful music performances right here in the comfort of our own home. Hannah and Sue Waite kicked off our month of music with a beautiful sing-along style performance. Rick Bruening brought back memories and reminded us of the simple things that make this holiday so special. Saved by Grace harmonized and filled our Activity Room with happiness. The Viking Chorus, as well as the Jr. Guilders graced us with special evening performances, and we welcomed some new friends, Scott and Josh from ‘Kings Express’ for some music. Keeping the tradition going, Davis and Eng provided entertainment at our Christmas Party again this year. That’s something everyone looks forward to all year long. Even our own Golden Gems gave a wonderful holiday performance that we’re still talking about!

Although the weather outside was frightful, we were still able to make it out for a few outings. We enjoyed the amazing production of ‘The Nutcracker Ballet’ at the Reg Lenna. We also enjoyed lunch outings at Ecklof’s and the Allen Street Diner. Comfort Today invited us over for lunch and music, which was a wonderful treat!

As we look back at 2017, we’re just so thankful to have a warm home, surrounded by people who care about us and for us. With old friends, and new, we look forward to everything 2018 has to offer, and we hope you’ll join us for some fun this year!
